Onnee kaikille koeviikkolaisille!

I open the cabinet. Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, The Simpsons, House, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives and Friends are staring at me whispering "Choose me, you know you want to!". Wow, I have a lot of season, I think.
I no longer watch TV or movies very often. It's so easy to just choose a series and stick with its exciting plot, beautiful characters and on-going surprises. You never get bored watching Gossip Girl! How could you when someone is already cheating or getting expelled from school or you find out that those two (who are dating) are a step-brother and sister. Stuff like this happens to them every day, and it's so entertaining, because that never happens in real life. That usually doesn't happen in movies either (unless we're talking about American Pie or something like that).
Nowadays I get bored easily. I don't have the energy to focus on a perfectly good movie. Maybe it's because in life, I usually get things pretty quickly if I want them. If I'm hungry, I'll just go get some food from the fridge. Or maybe it's because I'm used to watching short episodes, and then taking breaks in between them, just to check my phone or get some juice, or maybe just write something on my computer. I don't have patience anymore. Maybe I never had a lot of patience (I've always been incredibly I-want-things-now kind of kid) but I do know that a few years back I still had the time and the enthusiasm to watch an entire movie. Today, I need to be going all the time. Places, friends, things to do. Something is constantly on my mind, whether it's homework or a relationship issue or something about a summer job or my future.
I should really know how to slow things down. Maybe take time, and focus on a great movie. Or how about real life? Just the view out of my window. When am I going to get it? That my lack of patience is ruining perfectly good experiences. It's so cool that we have freedom to do pretty much whatever we want in life, but is it all getting a little too easy?
What TV-series do you guys watch? Do you think we get things too easily?
Feels like Friday. Exam-week starts tomorrow and my first test is English. Back to studying now :)
